The Four Flats

 

The Four Flats were a barbershop quartet in Newberg, Oregon that performed gospel music from 1946-1962.

Members: Harlow Ankeny, Dick Cadd, Ron Crecelius and Norval Hadley.

Notable Events:

  • Won the All-Northwest Barber Shop Ballad Contest in 1946-47
  • Appeared on radio programs with Bob Pierce (founder of World Vision International), Billy Graham and other prominent evangelists
  • Performed under the name "World Vision Quartet" at the U.S.
  • Presidential Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., in 1957 and 1960
