man's black knit wool cheast protractor --snaps on back of neck piece. 83-8 belonged to William Shinkle (grandfather of Mary Pruitt). 1838-1913. He wore it in cold weather delivering mail from Otega to Burr Oak, Kansas on horseback or in buggy.Mary Pruitt's parents were Rhoda Ellen Shinkle Beeson (1869-1958) and Roy Beeson (1891-1972)
