Robert “Bob” Monroe is a retired engineer and former president of Smith, Monroe, and Gray Engineers. Monroe has served as a member of the George Fox Board of Trustees for many years and is currently an honorary member of the board. He served as chairman of the George Fox Board of Trustees for five years, which is the maximum length of service for a chairman. During this time he was instrumental in bringing president Ed Stevens to George Fox. Monroe also served as director of the George Fox College Foundation.
