Craig Taylor attended George Fox College in the 1970's, graduating in 1974. During his time at George Fox he earned the Outstanding Man in Teacher Education and Outstanding PE major honors. He was also part of the 1972-73 basketball team that went on to the national championship. After graduating from George Fox he went on to get a masters in education. He returned to George Fox as both a men's and women's coach before taking time to pursue private business. Taylor returned to George Fox in 1981 as the women's basketball and softball coach as well as the assistant professor of physical education. He later became the director of George Fox College athletics.
