Abstract

Some contemporary Evangelical views concerning the antiquity of man are problematic in the light of modern scientific claims. Science presents a view of the age of man that is different from that presented by some scholars who feel they are representing the Biblical view. The sciences tend to look upon man as being hundred of thousands of years old. Some Biblical scholars feel that such a view is out of harmony with the Scriptures. The purpose of this study is to present an evangelical approach to the problem of the antiquity of man in the light of Biblical and scientific evidence.
