Abstract

The essay surveys Torrance’s engagement with the social sciences of his era, noticing various political and economic themes while noting his limited conversation compared to his extensive engagement with the natural sciences. The second half of the essay considers the implications for the future engagement of trinitarian theology with economics, politics, and the ongoing relevance of political theology.
