Description

Eugene T. Coffin attended George Fox in the early 1930's. During his time at Fox he was a reporter for the Crescent, a member of the chapel staff and was involved in music. In 1934 he was the captain and first string quarterback of the George Fox football team. He was also a President of Christian Association at George Fox. Coffin later became a Quaker minister and pastored the church where Richard Nixon held membership. He was an active member of the George Fox College Board of Trustees from 1957-1987.
