Description
Roy Hiebert, known affectionately across campus as Grandpa Roy, has been a supporter of George Fox University longer than most of its students have been alive. Roy Hiebert worked as a member of the Plant Services staff where he cherished the relationships he built with student employees. When he retired, Grandpa Roy continued those relationships, coming to campus daily to offer a listening ear, a word of advice, engage in a fun conversation, and show love to the students. Many on campus have received flowers from Hiebert which he brings from his personal garden to share with students and employees. Hiebert now wears a name tag officially designating him as the “Campus Grandpa.”
