Abstract
This research explores current literature surrounding key components of leading change in the context of higher education. Current issues impacting higher education and driving the need for change are examined and concepts related to understanding organizational culture, leadership style and change readiness are discussed. Using the context of the Council of Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) located in the State of Oregon, this study incorporates three instruments, the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ), the Organizational Culture Index (OCI) and the Organizational Change Recipients’ Belief Scale (OCRBS), to examine the relationships between leadership style, organizational culture and institutional change readiness.
