Journal of Interprofessional Research and Education
Aims & Scope
The Journal of Interprofessional Research and Education (JIRE) is a quarterly online-only journal that publishes basic and applied interprofessional research that informs healthcare practice and education. Given JIRE's interprofessional focus, all submissions must include perspectives from at least two disciplines and have at least two co-authors.
Authors can submit three types of articles.
Research Papers. Research papers are based on empirical findings and add substantial information to the field. The recommended minimum word count is 4000 words.
Brief Reports. Brief reports are similar to research papers but provide less information. Brief reports are appropriate for smaller studies with promising findings for future research. The recommended minimum word count is 1500 words.
Case Studies. Case studies can present an actual case addressing interprofessional assessment and treatment or case studies developed for educational training. Case studies developed for educational training must include appropriate outcome assessment(s). The recommended minimum word count is 3000 words.
