Abstract
In late August 2022, Murdock Library was anything but quiet. On one side of the building, a line wound out the door of the Academic Resource Center, where students were racing to create magnetic poetry on the back of sheet pans. On the other side of the building, the library director missed his cornhole target, almost hitting the printing station. His student opponents cheered. Around campus, students raced with cotton balls at Health and Counseling, stacked macaroni boxes at the food pantry, and solved a rebus puzzle at Student Life. Although it may have been an unorthodox scene to some, students were participating in a new student success orientation program, one designed to support student thriving by creating better connections between students and the offices that work to serve them.
