Abstract
Need Problem Opportunity (NPO) Statement
In the current corporate landscape, there is a lack of effective leadership models for the developing Millennial and Gen Z leaders.
Key Benefits from Research
Research and prototype testing yielded several key discoveries. While digital formats such as vlogs and ePlaybooks offer accessibility and relatability, the strongest outcomes emerged from in-person engagement. Stakeholders’ feedback emphasized the importance of relational depth, experiential learning, real-time feedback, and recommended digital supplements to enhance accessibility and reduce costs. These findings confirm that leadership development initiatives must integrate adaptability with relational practice to achieve sustainable and meaningful impact. The project demonstrates a scalable, holistically integrated model for cultivating leaders who thrive in diverse environments, strengthen intergenerational respect, and contribute to lasting organizational and relational impact.
Vocational Context
This project was developed within the vocational context of doctoral study in leadership development and professional practice. This context provided the foundation for integrating academic rigor, discernment, and practical facilitation into a model that equips leaders to embody adaptability, authenticity, service, and transformation.
Project Description
This doctoral project addresses the lack of effective leadership models for Millennials, Gen Z, and emerging leaders within the corporate landscape. To meet this need, a five-week inperson workshop, titled 5.4.1. Cultivating Cross-Generational Leadership was designed and implemented. The designation of 5.4.1. represents Five Weeks. Four Models. One Movement and introduces four leadership styles—Adaptive, Authentic, Servant, and Transformational. Supplemented by guided self-assessments to help participants identify their dominant leadership style and areas for growth.
