Description

Thomas Newlin served as the first President of Pacific College. He began his tern in 1891 and served until 1900, at which point he left to become President of Whittier College. He traveled extensively to raise funds to support the college, but expressed sorrow at “missing the fun” of teaching. In 1893 he was recorded as a Friends Minister in Newberg.
