Abstract
The author of the article proves that the genocidal war of the Russian Federation against Ukraine is aimed at the total destruction of both the Ukrainian nation and its culture, based on the methodological principle of actualizing biblical texts in the current circumstances and by selecting elements from the exhaustiveness of the content of the Book of Isaiah, the Prophet, which are able to reveal the ontological foundations of this war. It is the clash between the two incompatible experiences of existence: the existence of a human community in peace and that of a community in war. Ukraine has become a battleground of irreconcilable value-based systems, determined by fundamentally different axiological unifying centers of existence: personocentrism and economicocentrism. The near future of the Ukrainian and European nations depends on who will win: either the “man-gold” or the “gold-currency reserve” of great-power totalitarianism, and the development of humanity as a community or the ultimate loss of human identity in the distant future.
