Abstract

The contemporary Christian church faces a crisis of belonging; many members are opting out for non-theologically related reasons or differences. The claim for this exodus is a lack of genuine community that serves as an extended spiritual family. Modern churches function as event-centered gatherings, and less like a multigenerational community, reflecting instead a culture of individualism and spiritual consumerism. The purpose of this project is to explore strategies for churches to assume a more biblical role of a spiritual family. Particularly focusing on practical ways for building stronger community within multigenerational and multiethnic Worship settings. The project culminates in three complementary components: Two practical manuscripts and an interactive mobile application. The manuscripts present the foundation for a spiritual family culture through theological, biblical, historical, and grounded practical viewpoints, utilizing three missional rhythms summarized by the model titled F.A.M. (An acronym for Fiesta, Awaken, Multiply), and a 40 Day Devotional plan. The purpose of this material is to reshape organizational culture through the celebration of milestones, reviving life-giving practices, and storytelling that impacts growth. The mobile application serves as a content integrator and tracking tool which complements the manuscripts. The technology integration is meant to enhance, not replace, face-to-face discipleship within small or missional groups. This approach challenges the church to prioritize relationships over programs, cultivate a culture of mutual care, and encourage long-term commitment, fostering the profound soul-nourishing relationships that characterize an authentic "household of God" (Ephesians 2:19-22).
